How to Make Homemade Honey Graham Crackers
Dough
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together to combine.
Next, in a separate bowl, combine the milk and vanilla extract.
After that, in a third bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and honey for about 3 minutes until nice and smooth.
After that, add some of the flour mixture and a little bit of the milk mixture, to the butter mixture and beat to combine. Continue to alternate, mixing in the flour and milk mixture, mixing between each addition, until all ingredients have been added.
Mix ingredients until the dough is smooth and shiny. (My dough was still a little crumbly, but then I used my hands to finish combining it, and it worked out perfectly.)

Roll it out
Proceed to place half of the dough on a large piece of flour-dusted parchment paper.
Lightly dust the dough with flour and roll out until the dough is about 1/8 inch thick. Then do the same thing with the other half of the dough.
Chill
Next, place the parchment paper on a cookie sheet, cover lightly with plastic wrap and then refrigerate the dough for about an hour to chill.
Cut
Using a square cookie cutter, cut the dough into squares and transfer the squares to parchment-lined cookie sheets. Feel free to use or create whatever shape you’d like, have fun with it!
Chill, again
Prick each cracker lightly with a fork and refrigerate for about 30 more minutes until they are firm.
Bake
Get the oven preheating to 350° F. Then place the cookies in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. Let them cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
The crackers are delicious and warm, but they are also wonderful completely cooled.
Serve and enjoy!

What are some dessert recipes using homemade graham crackers?
Homemade graham crackers work wonderfully in classic s’mores. They combine perfectly with toasted marshmallows and chocolate for a delightful treat.
Another option is to make a graham cracker crust for pies. Crushed graham crackers mixed with butter create a delicious base for cheesecake or key lime pie.
Graham crackers also shine in no-bake desserts. They can be layered with pudding and whipped cream to create a simple trifle that is both tasty and visually appealing.

How long are homemade graham crackers good for?
These crackers can be kept stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to several days. If store properly, they will last 5-7 days.

Should I use salted or unsalted butter?
You can use either one for this recipe, and the tastes should be pretty similar either way. Try the recipe with both and see which one you’d like most! I don’t recommend using margarine though as it doesn’t hold up as well and can cause the graham crackers to turn out soft, or cause them to spread too much.

Are homemade graham crackers healthy?
They’re definitely better for you than the store-bought variety because there are no fillers and added preservatives. We also use whole wheat, which is high in fiber, and real honey, which has some great antioxidant values too. This snack is a healthier way to enjoy your favorite food without worries.

Variations for Homemade Graham Crackers
There are many ways to customize honey graham crackers to your liking. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Chocolate Graham Crackers: For a chocolatey twist, simply replace ½ cup of flour with ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder. You can also add ½ cup of mini chocolate chips to the dough for extra chocolate flavor.
Cinnamon Sugar Graham Crackers: Mix together ¼ cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon. Before baking, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the crackers for a sweet and spicy twist.
Peanut Butter Graham Crackers: Add ½ cup of creamy peanut butter to the butter, brown sugar, and honey mixture and beat until smooth. You can also sprinkle chopped peanuts on top of the crackers before baking for added crunch.
S’mores Graham Crackers: Add ½ cup of crushed graham crackers to the dough for extra graham flavor. After baking, sandwich a piece of chocolate and a marshmallow between two crackers and toast the marshmallow until it’s gooey and golden brown.
Honey Cinnamon Graham Crackers: Add an extra ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the dough for a stronger cinnamon flavor. You can also brush the crackers with honey before baking for a sweet and sticky glaze.
